CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Dahal to lead new government
KATHMANDU: A meeting held in Balkot-based CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has made a concrete decision on power sharing.
CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal will lead the new government will CPN-UML get the post of president.
According to the agreement, Dahal will lead the government for the next two and half years and the UML will lead the government for another two and half years.
A leader who attended the meeting said that the UML will get the two main posts—president and speaker—as per the agreement.
At least five parties including the UML and the CPN (Maoist Centre) will take part in the government.
The fourth largest party of the Parliament is positive on joining the government. Similarly, Janata Samajbadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and Janamat Party have also expressed their desire to join the government.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party, however, has not made any decision yet.
