EC submits report of election results to President Bhandari

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission submitted a report of election results to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Thursday.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya handed over the report incorporating the results of Parliamentary and Provincial Assembly elections to President Bhandari today.

Election Commission office bearers were also present in the program organised in Sheetal Niwas.

Similarly, CEO Thapaliya said the polls were concluded in a fair and fearless environment.

A total of 275—184 men and 91 women were elected as members of the House of Representatives. Similarly, a total of 550—350 men and 200 women were elected as members of seven provincial assemblies.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission is preparing to submit a report of the results of Provincial Assembly election to the province chiefs on Saturday.

There is a provision that the EC should submit the report with final results of FPTP and PR system within seven days of the announcement of the election results to the President.
