Parliament Secretariat Secretary Ghimire resigns

KATHMANDU: Parliament Secretariat Secretary Dhruba Prasad Ghimire resigned on Wednesday.

Though he submitted the resignation letter on Tuesday, it was approved only on Wednesday.

Secretary Ghimire tendered his resignation following public outcry and widespread criticism after he handed a letter over the Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana, stating that his impeachment motion has become ineffective.

He, however, said that he resigned due to family reasons.
