Squatters urge government to resolve problems through dialogue and consensus (With photos)

KATHMANDU: Squatters have staged a demonstration in Kathmandu on Monday demanding that the government resolve the problems of squatters through dialogue and consensus.

Squatters living in various parts of Kathmandu including the Bagmati river bank marched from Maitighar to New Baneshwor. The United National Squatters’ Front had led the march.

They have demanded that they be ensured with rights to housing, basic human rights and rights to live with options.
