Three of a family killed in Rautahat fire

JANAKPURDHAM: Three persons of a single family died when a fire broke out at the quilt and mattress store of one Islam Miya in Gaur Municipality-1 of Rautahat district.

Police identified the deceased as Miya’s daughter Ruksana Khatun (9), son Imran Mansuri (7) and Sabina Khatun (5).

DSP Sunil Malla, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Rautahat said that Muhammd Ismael (25), Nasima Khatun (24) and Iram (8).

The fire was later taken under control with the help of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police personnel backed by fire engines.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
