CPN (MC)’s Lekhnath Dahal secures HoR seat from Sindhuli-2

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has secured its first victory under the House of Representatives from Sindhuli-2.

Lekhnath Dahal won the election by garnering 27, 517 votes.

According to Chief Election Officer Upendra Prasad Gautam, Dahal defeated his nearest rival Manoj Thapa of the CPN-UML with a margin of 6, 162 votes. Thapa got 21, 355 votes.

A common candidate of the alliance, Dahal was a Province Assembly member earlier.
