CoAS Sharma holds talks with CEC Thapaliya

KATHMANDU: A team of Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhuram Ram Sharma held a meeting with Chief Election Commission Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya and election commissioners on Friday.

During the meeting held at the Jamal-based office of the Election Commission, CoAS Sharma said that the security has been tightened for the elections based on inspection and information.

He said that Nepal Army is ready to play any kind role to conclude the elections to the House of Representatives and Province Assembly in a free, fair and fearless environment.

On the occasion, CEC Thapaliy said that the Election Commission got support of Nepal Army in printing ballot papers, checking and transporting election materials.

He also said that they even got support of Nepal Army to transport ballot papers and election materials to the remote Himalayan districts.
