Nepali Congress Province Assembly candidate Thapa passes away

BIRATNAGAR: Forest, Environment and Land Conservation Minister of Province 1 Shekhar Chandra Thapa passed away on Wednesday.

Thapa, a Nepali Congress candidate of Province Assembly constituency-1 under Morang constituency-3, breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar, public relations officer at the hospital Narayan Dahal said.

He was diagnosed with a serious kind of pneumonia.

Thapa, who was admitted to the Nobel Hospital earlier, was later taken to the Hams Hospital in Kathmandu for treatment after his health deteriorated.

After three weeks of treatment at the HAMS Hospital, he was taken to Biratnagar following improvement in his health condition.
