Oli through election manifesto says, I was compelled to dissolve House
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma has said that he was compelled to dissolve the House.
Defending this move to dissolve the House two times, Oli through the election manifesto, which was unveiled, said that he was compelled to dissolve the Parliament.
“The Prime Minister was not allowed to complete his five-year term against the people’s mandate and carried out an undemocratic act to remove the party chairman elected through the convention from the streets,” he said in the manifesto, adding, “This is why, I dissolved the House to announce the elections.”
Oli said that political instability and disorder and power games have always been the main obstacles for Nepal’s progress.
Hinting at Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal, Oli claimed that some elements always tried to make the government unsuccessful.
Though he defended his move to dissolve the House, the ruling coalition has made this its election agenda.
