Foreign Ministry sends diplomatic note to India on Darchula incident
KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday sent a diplomatic note to the government of India regarding the death of a 9-year-old boy that took place at Dumling of Byas Rural Municipality in Darchula district.
A 9-year-old boy, Pawan Mahara, was killed after a stone hurled from an explosion made in course of constructing a road on the Indian side hit him.
The Ministry sent the diplomatic note through the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, a source from the Ministry said.
A senior official of the Ministry told the NepalPress over the phone that the Ministry through its diplomatic note has drawn the attention of the Indian government to efficiently coordinate with the local bodies of Nepal when constructing any infrastructure on the border area.
The Ministry has also mentioned in the diplomatic note to provide proper compensation and relief to the families of the deceased, said the official.
