EC writes to Rautahat police to take action against Madhav Nepal
KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has written a letter to the Rautahat police to take action against CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal.
The poll body has asked for a 24-hour clarification from Nepal, a candidate from Rautahat constituency-1.
The EC has directed Nepal to furnish the clarification within 24 hours by himself or through his representative as a news has been published stating that he would send youths abroad if he wins the upcoming election in a programme organized in Rautahat recently.
The Election Commissions said that it wrote a letter to the Rautahat police to take action against the former prime minister as he was found violating the election code of conduct.
