Nepal suffer 3-1 loss to Bangladesh in SAFF Women’s championship final

KATHMANDU: Nepal faced a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the final match of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2022 on Monday.

The final match of the championship was held at Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu this afternoon.

Bangladesh had taken the lead after Shamsunnahar scored the first goal in the 13th minute.

Similarly, Srimoti Sarkar scored another goal in the 42nd minute of the game for Bangladesh. She scored two goals in total for Bangladesh.

Likewise, Anita Basnet managed to score a goal for Nepal.

Even though Nepal created many chances to score, the team managed to score only a single goal against Bangaldesh.

Nepal entered the final after defeating India 1-0 on Friday.
