Committee submits report with recommendation to impeach suspended CJ Rana

KATHMANDU: The Impeachment Recommendation Committee submitted a report to Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota with a recommendation to impeach suspended Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana.

The committee submitted the report on Saturday evening mentioning nine reasons to impeach Rana.

The committee has also given a two-point suggestion.

CPN-UML and Democratic Socialist Party lawmakers were not present when the committee submitted the report to the Parliament Secretariat.

The committee pointed out in the report that Rana should be investigated on some issues.

Meanwhile, UML leader Bishnu Paudel claimed that the evidence was insufficient to impeach Rana.
