Minor files rape complaint against Nepal national cricket team captain Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: A rape complaint has been filed against Nepal cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane.

A 17-year-old girl filed the complaint against Lamichhane at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala.

The girl in her complaint said that she was raped in various places of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur.

Meanwhile, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is holding a meeting to make a decision on the issue.

The CAN had appointed Lamichhane as the captain of Nepal national cricket team last year.

Police said that they are preparing to issue an arrest warrant against Lamichhane after completing the legal process.

The girl has been sent to a hospital for medical examination.
