Advance bus ticket booking for Dashain to open from September 17

KATHMANDU: The pre-booking of bus tickets for the upcoming Dashain festival will start from September 17.

The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has decided to open advance ticket booking for the biggest and longest festival of Nepal from September 17.

Advanced ticket booking makes it easier for people to travel out of Kathmandu to their respective homes to celebrate Dashain festival with their families.

The DoTM has decided to conduct effective monitoring of buses leaving and entering the Kathmandu Valley in cooperation with the traffic police, consumers’ forum, entrepreneurs and labourers.

All the large vehicles, except those transporting essential items such as food, will be barred from entering the Kathmandu Valley from Narayangarh from October 1-8 to facilitate the movement of vehicles.
