Home Minister directs CDO to release security guard nabbed for asking Minister Shrestha to wait in queue

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on Monday directed Chief District Officer Govinda Rijal to release security guard Sher Jung Gurung, who was arrested for asking Tourism Minister Jeevan Ram Shrestha to wait in queue.

Home Minister Khand directed Chief District Officer Rijal to release Gurung by completing the process.

Police on Sunday apprehended Gurung, a security guard employed at the VFS in Chhaya Center, Thamel, on the charge of misbehaving Minister Shrestha.

The debate had ensued after Gurung asked Minister Shrestha, who had reached the visa centre for biometrics for his and his family’s trip to Canada, to stay in queue.
