KMC demolishes illegal structures constructed in front of Kathmandu Mall (With photos and video)

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) demolished structures built illegally on public land in front of the Sundhara-based Kathmandu Mall on Wednesday.

The KMC started demolishing the structures after they were found constructed without the permission of the concerned authority.

The Metropolitan City sought the help of police and traffic police to vacate the shops before bulldozing the structures.

KMC Mayor Balen Shah and DIG Mira Chaudhary of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division had also reached the area to demolish the illegal structures and to vacate the shops.

Earlier, the KMC had demolished the structures constructed in the underground parking of the houses in New Baneshwor.
