India purchased electricity worth Rs 2 billion with Nepal in mid-July/mid-August

KATHMANDU: Nepal exported electricity worth around Rs 2 billion to India in the first month of current fiscal year 2022/23.

The Nepal Electricity Authority exported electricity worth Rs 1. 83 billion in the month of mid-July/mid-August of the current fiscal year.

The NEA exported 240 million units of electricity to India.

The authority had managed to earn Rs 59. 3 million per day in July.
