Writ filed at SC against government decision to appoint Bhuwan KC as Film Development Board Chairman

KATHMANDU: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) against the government decision to appoint actor Bhuwan KC as the Chairman of the Film Development Board on Thursday.

As many as five persons including Naresh Poudel, Arun Pradhan, Nirmal Raj Dhakal, Manish Pandit, and Suchitra Sherstha filed the petition at the court today.

One of the petitioners Naresh Poudel said that the government appointed KC to the post by amending the existing law.

The court is scheduled to hear the case on August 15.

Earlier on July 26, the government had appointed actor KC as the Chairman of the Film Development Board.
