4 Indian nationals held with brown sugar from different places of Jhapa

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested four Indian nationals in possession of brown sugar from different places of Jhapa.

Police Spokesperson Basanta Pathak of the District Police Office, Jhapa said that they were arrested from Bhadrapur, Birtamode and Damak municipalities of Jhapa.

Among the four, two were held from Bhadrapur and Birtamode respectively and another two were arrested from Damak.

A team of police deployed from Bhadrapur arrested Nikhil Bishwas (42)  and recovered 3.8 grams from his possession.

Similarly, Badri Rajbanshi (36 ) was arrested from Charpane in Biratmode Municipality-2 along with 3 grams of brown sugar.

Likewise, police on Wednesday arrested Bhim Bahadur Shrestha (33) and Mohan Silwal (32) from Damak Municipality-9 and recovered 25 grams of brown sugar and Rs 10,000 in cash from their possession.

Police said that they are further investigating the case.
