1 killed, 1 injured in Lalitpur mini-truck-bike collison

KATHMANDU : A person died and another sustained injuries in a mini-truck-bike collision at Ekantakuna in Lalitpur on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Thagindra Rai (23) of Khotang. Rai was the rider of the two wheeler.

The bike (Bagmati Province 02-027 Pa 6338) hit the mini-truck, which was parked near Suzuki trial center in Ekantakuna, at around 9 pm last night.

Critically injured Rai died while undergoing treatment at Alka Hospital in Jawlakhel.

Similarly, Suraj Adhikari (35) of Mahalaxmi Municipality-14, Lalitpur was injured during the accident. Adhikari was the pillion rider of the bike.

Police have taken both the vehicles and mini-truck driver under custody for further investigation.
