TR, CIEDP term extended by three months

KATHMANDU: The government has extended the tenure of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the Commission for Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP) by three months.

A Cabinet meeting held at the official residence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in Baluwatar on Friday made the decision to this effect.

The term of the office bearers of the Commission is expiring from tomorrow.

A meeting of the senior leaders of the ruling coalition held this morning had decided to amend the acts of both the commissions.

Similarly, the meeting also decided to hold a consultation meeting on Nepal-China border issues.
