Janata Samajbadi Party decides to give continuity to five-party alliance till elections

KATHMANDU: The establishment faction of the Janata Samajbadi Party has decided to give continuity to the five-party alliance till the federal and provincial elections.

The Central Executive Committee and Central Committee meeting that concluded in Birgunj on Thursday made the decision to this effect.

Making public the decisions of the meeting, Chairman Yadav said that the continuity of the coalition is necessary to take the county towards police stability by safeguarding the democracy.

The coalition has become successful in achieving its goal to defeat the regression after the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved the Parliament twice in the past.

Yadav said that though they have bitter experiences in the local level elections, the alliance is still necessary for the country.

“We have concluded that we will forge an alliance in the upcoming elections,” he said.

He further said that the party has taken action against nine leaders including Baburam Bhattarai for carrying out activities against the party’s norms and values.

He said that they have two-thirds majority in the party.

Meanwhile, he expressed his happiness that the Citizenship Bill is going to be endorsed from the Parliament.
