India hands over disaster relief material to Nepal
KATHMANDU : The Government of India has provided disaster relief material to the Government of Nepal on Friday.
Ambassador of India to Nepal Naveen Srivastava handed over consignments of flood and disaster-relief material to Minister for Home Affairs Bal Krishna Khand during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singhadurbar today.
The relief material includes 3000 tents and ten motor inflatable boats.
During the ceremony, Home Minister Khand thanked the Indian government for the relief material. He appreciated ongoing disaster relief-related cooperation between Nepal and India and hoped for continued support from the Indian government in the future as well.
Ambassador Srivastava, on the other hand, expressed his happiness to be able to hand over relief materials on time and promised to provide more assistance in the coming days.
