Government has no plans to purchase weapons for Nepal Police

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the central government has no plans to purchase weapons for Nepal Police.

Responding to a question raised by Gopal Man Shrestha in the Central Executive Committee meeting, he said that the government has no plans to buy weapons for now.

There is no constitutional provision for the provincial government to buy weapons for the police except the central government.
