Nepal out from ACC Women’s T20 Championship as rain plays spoilsport

KATHMANDU: The semi-final match between Nepal and UAE under the ACC Women’s T20 Championship held at the Kinrara Oval in Kuala Lumpur has been affected due to rain on Friday.

After winning the toss, Nepal elected to bowl first in the match.

UAE set a target of 82 runs in 19.5 overs losing all wickets.

Nepal displayed fine bowling performance as Asmina Karmarcharya took five wickets alone.

The match, however, was called off after the rain disrupted the second innings.

Eventually, Nepal’s dream of playing the championship shattered after UAE reached the final as they have better record in the group stage.
