Police intervene in torch rally of ANNFSU taken out to protest fuel price hike, senior vice-chairman among a dozen students injured (With photos)

KATHMANDU: A clash broke out between security personnel and students who took to the street to protest against the fuel price hike outside the Tri Chandra Campus on Monday.

A dozen students including ANNFSU (student wing of the CPN-UML) senior Vice-Chairman RC Lamichhane were injured in the clash.

Kathmandu District Police Office spokesperson Dinesh Mainali said that the demonstrators vandalised a vehicle of traffic police.

The students carried out a torch rally to protest the hike in prices of petroleum products this evening.
