1 killed, 7 injured in Sarlahi car accident

SARLAHI : A four-year-old child died and seven others sustained injuries when a car they were travelling in met with an accident at Dhankaul Rural Municipality-5 in Sarlahi on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Gambhir Yadav of Brindavan Municipality-4, Rautahat.

The incident took place when the car with an indian registration number plate (BR 05 AR 5137) fell around 15 feet from Chatighat bridge this morning, police said.

Simialrly, the seven injured have been identified as Amit Kumar yadav (4), Mira Kumari Yadav (14) Jitendra Kumar Yadav (32), Sova Kumari Yadav (17), Gautam Yadav (10), and Aniket Yadav (6) and Mahendra Roy (70) of Brindavan Municipality-4. Roy has been critically injured in the incident.

The injured are receiving treatment at a local health organization.

Police have suspected that all of them may belong to the same family.

The driver of the vehicle is on the run, police said.

Police said that they are further investigating the case.
