2 killed in Sankhuwasabha landslide 

SANKHUWASABHA: Two persons died in a landslide at Nundhaki in Chainpur Municipality-1 of Sankhuwasabha district on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Ramkumar Rai (35)of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City in Sunsari and Him Bahadur Magar (20) of Chaudandigadi municipality-6 in Udayapur, Milan Basnet, Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Chainpur, said.

The incident took place when they were constructing the Chainpur-Nundhaki road section at around 11 am today, police said. They were buried to death in a dry landslide.

Inspector Basnet said that the dry landslide fell from some 30 metres above the ground.

Police said that they are further investigating the case.
