4 killed in Udayapur truck accident

BIRATNAGAR: Four persons died in a truck accident at Chanaute in Bhadaure of Katari Municipality-14, Udayapur on Monday.

The truck (Na 2 Kha 8297) was heading towards Solukhumbu from Chanaute when the incident occurred this morning.

According to Province Police Office, Biratnagar, the deceased have been identified as driver Sunit Ghalan, assistant driver Nitesh Khadka, Anuj Lama and Rajan Tamang (37).

According to a preliminary investigation, the tragedy occurred after the driver fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle.

Police said that the truck fell some 100 metres down the road.
