Newly elected mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balen Shah’s victory rally begins (With photos)

KATHMANDU: A victory rally of independent candidate Balen Shah, who was elected to the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has begun.

Another independent candidate Suman Sayami, who garnered a lot of votes,  also participated in the rally.

Thousands of Shah’s supporters took part in the rally that started from the vote counting venue in City Hall.

The rally that commenced from the City Hall will pass through Shahid Gate, Tripureshwor, Kalanki, Swoyambhu, Balaju, Maharajgunj, Chabahil, Gaushala, Airport, Sinamangal, Old Baneshwor, Maitidevi, Putalisadak and Bagbazaar.

It will end amid a programme at Khullamanch.
