Stop construction of Nijgadh International Airport in Bara: SC tells government

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has directed the government to stop the construction of proposed Nijgadh International Airport in Bara.

A five-member bench of Justices Hari Krishna Karki, Ishwor Khatiwada, Bishwombar Shrestha, Prakashman Singh Raut and Manoj Kumar Sharma on Thursday issued the verdict directing the government to halt all the process of constructing the airport.

The court has told the government to find an alternative if it needs another international airport.
