2 killed as bus hits motorbike in Jhapa 

JHAPA: Two persons including a police constable died when a motorbike they were riding on was hit by a bus at the Sivasatakshi-Dharampur road section in Jhapa along the East-West Highway on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Prakash Rai (26) of Pathari Sanishchare Municipality-8, Morang and Jitu Hang Rai (26) of Shadananda Municipality, Bhojpur.

The duo died on the spot when the bus (Ko 1 Kha 7187) hit the two-wheeler (Province1-02040Pa7149) this morning, DSP Basanta Pathak, Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Jhapa, said.

Prakash was a constable of the District Police Office, Jhapa while Jituhang was a temporary policeman.

Police have taken the bus driver and the vehicle under custody for further investigation.
