Government endorses policy and programmes

KATHMANDU: The government endorsed the policy and programmes on Tuesday.

A Cabinet meeting held this morning passed the policy and programmes, Urban Development Minister Ram Kumari Jhankri told NepalPress.

“The meeting has endorsed the policy and programmes. It will be tabled in the Federal Parliament at 4 pm today” she said.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari will present the government’s policy and programmes in the joint meeting of the House of Representatives and National Assembly.

There is a constitutional provision that the policy and programmes should be presented by May 24.

It has been said that the policy and programmes to be presented today will focus on establishing new industries and self-reliant economy.
