Kathmandu District court remands rape accused Manoj Pandey to five days in custody

KATHMANDU: Manoj Pandey, the man accused of raping one of the participants in a beauty pageant, has been remanded in police custody for five days.

The Kathmandu District on Monday ordered police to keep Pandey in custody and proceed with their investigation.

A human trafficking case has been filed against Pandey.

Police on Saturday nabbed Pandey on the charge of raping a teenage girl in the name of beauty pageant.

Earlier on Wednesday, the girl released a video on TikTok claiming that she was drugged and raped by the organiser of the beauty pageant eight years ago.
