US Under Secretary of State Zeya calls on PM Deuba, Home Minister Khand
KATHMANDU: A delegation led by US Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Uzra Zeya paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on Sunday.
In the meeting held at the PM’s official residence at Baluwatar today, discussions were held on Nepal-US relations and various topics of mutual interest said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry was also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, issues related to Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) were also discussed.
Similarly, the US Under Secretary Zeya also paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Khand today. The meeting was held at the Home Ministry this afternoon.
The duo discussed mutual assistance and bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Home Minister Khand thanked the United States for helping Nepal in the post-earthquake reconstruction.
He also thanked the United States on behalf of Nepal for helping in resettling Bhutanese refugees in third countries.
Under Secretary of State Zeya, who is also the Special Coordinator for Tibetan Issues, arrived in Nepal on Friday for a three-day visit to Nepal.
