Father, son murdered three days before wedding in Siraha

JANAKAPURDHAM: A group of unidentified persons murdered a man and his son by using a sharp weapon at Mahanaur in Arna Rural Municipality-1 of Siraha on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Chandeshwor Pal (60) and his son Santa Kumar Pal (20).

According to locals, Santa Kumar was getting married on May 25.

It has been learnt that a group of women of his village had gathered at the house of Santa Kumar and sang wedding songs till 12 am.

The duo were murdered a few hours after all the women returned their houses after singing songs.

Santa Kumar had been operating a hardware shop at Mahanaur Bazaar.

A pall of gloom has enveloped the village following the incident.

DSP Subash Dhakal, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Siraha, said that they are investigating the case.
