House directs government to investigate eight-year-old rape case
KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives directed the government to carry out investigation into the rape case and bring the culprits to justice at the earliest.
Saying that an eight-year-old rape case has come to light recently, Nepali Congress lawmaker Gagan Thapa demanded an immediate investigation into the incident.
Later, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota directed the government to conduct the investigation into the incident.
Earlier on Wednesday, a woman released a video on TikTok claiming that she was drugged and raped by the organizer of the beauty pageant eight years ago.
