UML wins mayor, deputy mayor posts in Budhanilkantha Municipality

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has won both mayor and deputy mayor posts in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu.

Mitha Ram Adhikari has been elected as the mayor with 14, 250 votes while his closest contender Binod Chalise of Nepali Congress secured 11, 512 votes.

Likewise, Anita Lama has been elected as the deputy mayor with 14, 314 votes. Her contender Ramila Wagle of the Nepali Congress received 11, 972 votes.
