Education Ministry decides to give two-day holiday in private schools as well

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education has decided to give a two-day holiday in the private schools as well.

A meeting of the Ministry held on Wednesday decided to give a two-day holiday in both private and government schools from May 15.

Though the government had decided to give a two-day weekend-Saturday and Sunday earlier, the Ministry said that the decision will be implemented in both government and private sectors, Ministry spokesperson Deepak Sharma said.

”The government had made a decision to give a two-day holiday. We have just made it clear,” he said.

Following the government’s decision to give  two-day weekend, the classes will be continued till 4 pm on Friday.

As per the decision of the Ministry, the schools will be operated from 10 am to 4 pm.
