Pharmacy operator held with huge cache of pharmaceutical drugs in Kathmandu
KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday held a pharmacy operator with a huge cache of pharmaceutical drugs from Narephat in Kathmandu.
The arrestee has been identified as Uday Theng (26) also known as Kabir Lama of Hetauda sub-metropolitan city, Makwanpur. He is currently residing in Narephat, Kathmandu.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police deployed from Metropolitan Police Range, Teku, arrested Theng, operator of Dr health care pharmacy, and recovered 42,500 pieces of Tramadol Hydrochloride Capsule IP 50 mg and 10,000 pieces of Tramadex Hydrochloride Capsule IP 50mg from him.
Police have sent Theng to the Department of Drug Administration (DDA) in Kathmandu for further investigation and necessary action.
