Ruling coalition decides to give responsibility to task force to divide seats
KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition has decided to give the responsibility to the task force to divide the seats for the local level elections slated for May 13.
A meeting of the senior leaders of the alliance held at the Prime Minister’s office in Baluwatar this morning made the decision to this effect.
According to a source, the leaders have agreed to divide the seats at the earliest.
The meeting of the task force is scheduled to be held at 1 pm today.
The coalition had already formed the Election Preparation and Monitoring Committee under the headship of Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel.
It has been learnt that the final decision on diving the seats would be made after the task force submits the report.
The decision has already been made that the centre would finalised the candidates metropolitan and sub-metropolitan cities.
