Maoist Centre removes Kulman Ghising’s photo from election poster

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has removed the photo of Kulman Ghising, Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, from the election poster.

The Maoist Centre decided to edit the poster following the disagreement of Ghising.

The party was criticised on social media for misusing the photo of an apolitical person.

Ghising had also urged the Maoist Centre to remove his photo from the poster.

Later, the party edited the poster and kept the photo of Maoist supremo Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The photo of former Energy Minister Janardan Sharma has also been removed from the poster.

However, many Maoist cadres have already shared the poster with Ghising on Facebook.
