CPN (MC) issues circular to sub-ordinate committees not to forge electoral alliances apart from ruling coalition

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has issued a circular to the sub-ordinate committees not to forge alliances with the parties other than the ruling coalition in the local level elections.

In the circular issued on Monday, party Chairman Pushpa Kamal directed the leaders not to forge electoral alliances with the parties apart from the ruling alliance, a district chairman said.

The approval of centre would be mandatory if the elections are to be contested without forging alliances.

Dahal said that the Maoist cannot contest the elections without taking permission from the Centre.
