Five hoteliers arrested with 25 Kg marijuana in Dhading

DHADING : Police have arrested five persons with 25 kilograms of marijuana from Dhading in Gajuri Rural Municipality along the Prithvi Highway on Thursday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhavesh Rimal at the Area Police Office, Gajuri, police raided Jayaram Staff Hotel, Hira Hotel and Lodge, Ayush Hotel and Thakuri Hotel in Furkekhola and Khilanath Tripathi’s hotel in Benighat Rorang-3 and confiscated 25 kilograms of marijuana.

The arrestees have been identified as Sani Adhikari of Jayaram Staff Hotel, Hotraj Sedai (43) of Ayush Hotel, Hiramaya Lamsal of Hira Hotel, Bed Kumar Shahi of Thakuri Hotel.

Similarly, Khilnath Tripathi (55), owner of the Benighat Rorang-3-based hotel, was also arrested during the raid, police said.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said DSP Rimal.
