China hands over key of Pokhara International Airport to Nepal
KATHMANDU: The Pokhara International Airport constructed by the Chinese government has been handed over to the government of Nepal on Saturday.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi handed over the key to Nepal in the presence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka received the key on behalf of Nepal.
Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Director General among other office bearers were present in the programme.
Later, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Ale handed over the letter of appreciation to the construction company of the Pokhara International Airport.
Binesh Munkarmi, project manager at the Pokhara International Airport, said that 93 percent of the work has been completed so far.
