1 killed, 1 injured in Rolpa tractor accident

ROLPA: A person has died and another sustained injuries when a tractor they were travelling in met with an accident at Liwang of Sunil Smriti rural municipality -3 on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Khume Thapa (20) of Sunil Smriti rural municipality-5. Thapa died during the course of treatment at the Lumbini City Hospital in Butwal.

Similarly, Yamraj Bista (24) was critically injured during the incident. Bista was the driver of the tractor while the deceased Thapa was his helper.

The incident took place when the tractor (Lu 3 Ta 9960) fell around 60 metres down the road at around 2:30 pm last night, said Area Police Office Sulichaur, Rolpa.

Critically injured Bistra is receiving treatment at a local hospital in Sulichaur, police said.

Police are further investigating the case.
