Tanahun District Court orders actor Paul Shah in custody until the final verdict

KATHMANDU: The Tanahun District Court has sent actor Paul Shah, who was arrested on the charge of raping a minor girl, to custody until a final verdict on the case is announced.

A single bench of Tanahun District Court Judge Harish Chandra Dhungana on Thursday ordered actor Shah be sent to custody.

Eleven lawyers argued on behalf of Shah and his manager Krishna Joshi and seven lawyers on behalf of the petitioner.

Based on the complaint filed by a minor singer, the District Attorney Office had filed a case at the court demanding 14 years of imprisonment against Shah.

The District Government Attorney Office had also filed a case against Shah at Nawalpur District Court.
