People line up to submit applications for temporary police (With photos)

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have started taking applications of 100, 000 temporary police personnel for the security of local level elections scheduled from May 13.

Applications can be submitted till March 25. Applications for the temporary police can be submitted in all the 77 District Police Offices during the office hours.

Those who have completed 18 years of age and have not crossed 54 years of age can apply for the temporary police.

According to the Nepal Police headquarters, the selection will start from March 29 and will complete by April 5 and the training will start from April 11.

Retired staffers of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police and those who have retired from the security agencies of neighboring countries will be given high priority.

Temporary police will be appointed for 40 days.
The temporary police personnel will get the salary of 40 days equal to the service facility of a police constable.
