Nepal records 77 fresh Covid-19 cases, 1 death on Friday

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded 77 new cases of Covid-19 along with one death on Friday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 5,607 swab samples were tested through the RT-PCR method in the last 24 hours, of which 62 returned positive.

Likewise, 2,374 underwent antigen tests. Of them, 15 returned positive.

The Ministry said that 189 infected people recovered from the virus in a single day.

The total countrywide death toll reached 11,950 as per the latest data provided by the Ministry.

There are 5,212 active cases of Covid-19 as of today.

On Thursday, Nepal reported 112  new Covid-19 cases along with 429 recoveries. No deaths were reported yesterday.
